Sovereign Metals Limited commissioned orelogy to undertake the mining engineering component of a Scoping Study for the Kasiya Rutile Project.
The ultimate goal of the Scoping Study will be to generate a robust project mining strategy that will maximise the value of the project while at the same time;
– Provide the best strategy to develop the project with the greatest likelihood of success;
– Produce a sound basis for moving to the next level of study.
– Sovereign Metals Limited is developing the Kasiya Rutile Project in Malawi approximately 60km northwest of Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe.
Kasiya’s maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) is 644Mt at 1.01% rutile, including a high-grade component of 137Mt @ 1.41% rutile.
The maiden MRE establishes Kasiya as a strategic and globally significant natural rutile discovery and confirms it as one of the largest natural rutile deposits in the world.
orelogy will undertake the following:
– Data Review
– Project Strategy Optimisation
– Cost Estimation
– Scoping Study Reporting
Further information on the project can be found on the Sovereign Metals website above.
