The extensive Balmoral deposit is reputedly the world’s largest undeveloped magnetite resource which has the potential to host 60 – 100 billion tonnes of magnetic Banded Iron Formation.
orelogy has been involved in the project since 2006. In August 2006 orelogy was engaged to complete a Mining Options Study for the Balmoral South iron ore project.
Australasian Resources Ltd requested orelogy to undertake an additional work on project during 2007 which included pit optimisation, pit design and life of mine scheduling work.
