In 2014 orelogy undertook a mine planning study on behalf of Dragon Energy Ltd for the Rocklea iron ore deposit to provide the necessary documentation required by the Department of Mines & Petroleum for a Mining Proposal.
Mine planning activities undertaken conclude that the Rocklea deposit can be developed as a simple open cut operation capable of supporting a 1.8 Mtpa output operation.
The mine will employ contractors using articulated trucks and surface miners for the life of mine.
